The GAC newsletter - 'GOLD' - is published a couple of times a year and is circulated to all club members. It contains news of current and past members, items about club finances and other matters, occasional articles by members past and present, and reports of all the major tournaments, both 'home' and 'away'.
It has until recently been produced by Ian Gray - however the position a GOLD editor is currently vacant - so contact a member of the committee if you are interested in taking up this very important post.
Don't expect to do all of this yourself as there is usually a good deal of help from a small band of club members who jot down a note of the scores, medal winners, general conditions and the odd scurrilous anecdote whenever they go to a tournament. There is an open invitation (more of a plea) for more members to act as roving reporters so as to spread the load - and also to contribute articles of general interest - so don't be shy, your club needs you!
